Serving Opportunities
As a church, we value serving. Because we are a growing church, we continually have new volunteer needs so we may reach those God brings through our doors. God has chosen us to serve and through our actions, attitudes and words. By doing this, we hope to impact the Kingdom of God and the lives of His people for eternity.
We are a church on the move. We need every church member to act on faith and move within the walls of the church through service. Think about a church without small group leaders, weekend tech folks, communion preparers, greeters, etc. What would it be like? Reaching in to our church family prepares the church for action. That’s what a church on the move is all about, and it all starts right here at home. Everyone is needed to make this church move down the many paths God places us on.
At CrossCity, we strongly believe that each person is designed with a purpose — a purpose to live our lives for Christ and through this, we use our talents and gifts to serve Him and grow His kingdom. In this class you will learn who we are, who we’re not and how you can partner with us. Then we can help you find a place to serve that is the right fit for you. And the best part – just test-drive it. We want people in the right place, for the right reason, so if you aren’t enjoying where you’re serving, or you don’t feel like you are using your gifts, we will help you find a place that is right for you. These one-time events are usually special outreach events targeted to reach our community. If you happen to have some extra time on your hands or you aren’t sure where to serve and just want to try something, these could be great opportunities for you.
Do you like kids and want to help kids learn to love Jesus? This ministry might be perfect for you. There are many behind-the-scenes opportunities where you don’t even necessarily have to interact with kids, like shopping for supplies or assembling crafts for weekends. Want to help teenagers Find and Follow Jesus? Then, fill out the Serving Interest Form and one of our Student Ministry Pastors will contact you shortly.
These positions require happy people in them. If you are your happy, smile a lot and enjoy life, volunteering in this area might be perfect for you. Fill out the Serving Interest Form and we’ll get in touch with you!
Help us put on our weekly worship services by lending your musical expertise, work with our tech department to operate cameras and lighting or help behind-the-scenes in our video room. If you are interested, responsible and want to make a difference behind the scenes, we are will train you!
Are you a safety fanatic? These positions include directing traffic, helping people park their cars, answering questions, have an eye for detail and help keep our campus safe.
Do you like having specific tasks to do that you can check off your list or just enjoy doing things behind the scenes? These positions include helping out our front office with administrative tasks, making copies, answering phones, or doing yard work at one of our facilities.
If you enjoy caring for others in big or small ways, or you work best in the context of a close relationship, these positions may be for you. They include one-on-one mentoring, marriage mentoring, helping with funerals, praying for requests that people submit, and delivering meals to sick folks or new moms and their families.
Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-Centered, biblically based ministry that is helping hundreds of thousands of people across the nation find a saving relationship with Jesus, significant healing from hurts, habits, and hang-ups, and real spiritual growth. You may not have recovery experience, but you can still serve in this exciting, front-line ministry.
Looking for ways to give financially in addition to giving your time? We have partnered with some reputable organizations like the Family Healing Center, Lexington Square Apts, Mid-India Child, and many others to allow you the opportunity to donate goods or funds to important causes.
